Observation :

The sinc function, defined as \(sinc\left(x\right)=\frac{sinc(x)}{x}\) (Definition 1), where sin denotes the sine function, has an alternate commonly used definition : \(sinc\left(x\right)=\frac{sinc(\pi x)}{\pi x}\) (Definition 2). To avoid confusion, we will denote the first version as sinc1 and the second version as \(sinc_π\) , with the latter sometimes referred to as the normalised cardinal sine.
